With the new styles, there are many ways to see Exif info. First, in smugmug style, simply mouse over the main image, and if the gallery owner has photo info enabled, you will see a blue "i" - click it! Then the exif floatie will appear. You can toggle between basic and detailed info. You can move this floatie, anywhere you like, and we'll remember where you left it, after you hit the [x] box to close it ![]()

How about single image views? No problem, just look below the photo, and, if the owner has enabled photo details, click the underlined link that says "exif."

And then there's critique style, which has the exif tabs ON the page:

For ANY of these styles, if you click on the words "Photo Information" you will get a separate view, like this:
Here you can easily copy (right click, copy) the url for this link, if you wish.
HOW TO EMBED EXIF IN A FORUM OR BLOG POST
Let's use this image.

Or you can simply leave a link for the exif, like this:

NOTE FOR PSE USERS: April 12th (Sebastian): If you see changes in EXIF date taken fields, check if they might be using Photoshop Elements. This is from one of our customers: "it appears that pse, starting with version 5, alters certain exif parameters even if all you do is display the image in the pse editor. I've read a number of complaints posted on adobe's user forums about unwanted changed exif parameters."
I'd rather be able to search the exif information than change it, but I guess I'm just weird like that.
I don't understand why Exif has to be stripped when linking in forums. It really doesn't bloat the image that much. At least not if you include only what smugmug keeps.
Can Smugmug extract the existing metadata out of exif to use as tags when uploading? we are considering moving a large volume of imagery over to smugmug and all of our searchable data is embedded into each images exif data.
I still can't believe they strip Exif data when linking in forums. So many of their competitors don't these days.
It would be good to have the full exif data - not justa cutdown version!
It would be nice if you would add the exif link on the smugmug "get a link" page, so it allready was created for forum use!

It'd be nice if we could EDIT the EXIF/IPTC info online.
